Portal Village

I had a delightful stay at PORTAL Village. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my visit. The picturesque view and serene natural surroundings added to the charm of the place. The cottage was clean and well-maintained. While the dinner options left something to be desired in terms of flavor, the breakfast spread was nothing short of fabulous. Overall, a tranquil and pleasant experience.

We searched for something nice and we got more than we expected. Awesome place to stay, in the nature while having everything you need. The food was great, many things to choose from for breakfast, including local products. I tasted new things, like salad soup with garlic or the SB beer. The tiramisu cake or the ribs were also tasty. Having to work part of my stay, I also have to mention the quality of the wireless network, both speed and signal. Oh, and I was able to have meetings while in the forest.

Everything was excellent. Accommodation: Lovely huts 🛖 with spectacular view and spacious enough to accommodate 2 adults. Spa: You cannot miss the spa facilities regardless the small size of it. Ideally you book last so you can enjoy it longer than an hour. Didn’t book the massage but others said it was worth it Food: Super delicious and convenient to eat. Breakfast comes in the accommodation but lunch and diner options are crazy good. I tried soups, pasta and rabbit meat. Deserts are also very good. Drinks: From artisanal beers and wine to whiskey and fresh juices, they have it all. Staff: Super nice host and staff. Helpful and amiable people

5 stars are not enough for this place, everything was amazing, nature, location, food and staff. I was working and relaxing there for two days, bungalows are super nice and cozy and the co-working space is top. Great home made food and impeccable service. The whole place has a very good taste, I totally recommend to anyone seeking an extraordinary getaway.

We arrived in the afternoon for lunch. We did not know in advance that it might be good to call first before arriving there as there was an enormous delay in service. The grounds are beautiful indeed, nice set up, service very slow. We had roast pepper soup, chicken breast with sweet potato mash, and some pork with baked potato. The soup came relatively quick, the bread was good, and the soup was good. But then we had to wait around an hour and 10 minutes for the next course. We constantly went in and out of the restaurant to smoke as we were losing our patience. I understand the establishment is not cheap, nor did we want to eat cheap that day, but I really think the price,or the service, or the food should be reflecting what is going on. Either cut the price for the lost time, or bring it quicker and keep the price, or bring more staff and keep the price and the customer. As a farewell the lady said please call before you come, we said ok no problem. A final clarification: when we arrived we kindly asked them first if they thought they could serve us that day as we did not want to participate if it was too busy or a long wait. Beautiful place, not the best experience sorry!

Really a Portal to pure relaxation. It's something else, not another place, a totally different new experience. Location, accomodation - the A frames bungalows are simply great, restaurant - in Vatra you'll find another gastronomic Portal for your taste buds, the Vortex spa continues the journey to another dimension helping you disconnect from day to day routine and reconnect with nature.

Remote location with peace and quiet. Perfect disconnect from the bustling city and a great way to recharge. The location has many amenities, and all one might need, with friends, your lover, or just by yourself. From sauna to hot tub to yoga and forest walking, all available on site. Bungalows are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Note that you can watch the stars until you fall asleep. The food is fresh, delicious, and made with lots of love. Staff is friendly and owners and very kind, looking out for you. I went with a large group for a 4 day stay, but will definitively try to come again.
